At Sightbox, we do not have a network. We take the address and availability that you provide at signup to research a highly rated optometrist near you that has availability matching yours. This is not an automated process, and we don't have prior access to clinic's schedules. Rather, one of our customer care team members looks up your address, finds all the different clinics near you, reads the reviews, and calls around to the different clinics to find the best fit for you, specifically. Office hours and availability depends entirely on the individual clinics and can be very different depending on where you live.
Sightbox books members with private optometrist practices that typically adhere to normal business hours of M-F 9am-5pm; to close by 5pm, the last appointment time is often at 3:30. Offices that take walk-in appointments or chain-locations are generally lower rated and not compatible with Sightbox at this time.
There are some cases where we can book you for a weekend appointment, but we cannot guarantee that this is possible and take each request on a case-by-case basis. If you are a new contact lens wearer, it is very unlikely that you will be able to get a weekend appointment because most clinics do not offer new wearer trainings on the weekends.
The customer care team member assigned to your account will do everything they can to find you an appointment that works with your schedule. When you sign up for Sightbox there is a "notes" box where you can indicate as much as you like about your schedule, which will help us find you a convenient appointment with a great eye doctor!
